Dr. Mikiko Murakami
Dr. Mikiko Murakami utilized her personal experiences as a patient of multiple failed knee surgeries to create her path as a both a physician and a healer. She is the former founder of an integrative medicine company after doing research on why complementary alternative medicine was not well-integrated with allopathic (western) care. She is now a Doctor of Osteopathy and acupuncturist, and board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) and Pain Medicine.
Dr. Murakami completed her PM&R residency training at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and her Pain Medicine fellowship training at UC San Diego. Research, book chapters, clinical trials and presentation topics include acupuncture, osteopathy, integrative medicine, sports medicine and medical devices. At Comprehensive Spine and Sports Center, she will be providing services including: rehabilitative medicine, interventional pain procedures, osteopathy, acupuncture, integrative medicine consultations and regenerative medicine. Her mission is for you to “move freely so you can live the life that you love.” She is also fluent in Japanese.
